outline

I. Introduction

A.)   Slums are very bad places to live in.
B.)   A slum is a big, unsanitary piece of land that is filled with tiny shacks that provide housing for many poor people. 
C.)  Slums have a negative effect on human populations because many people die due to sanitation hazards, they are forced to live in tiny, packed shacks, and they do not have access to restrooms. 
D.)   Many people who live in slums end up dying.


 II. Defendable point #1

A.)Many people in the slums die due to sanitation hazards.
B.)There is a river of dirty contaminated water in the alleys between the tiny shacks.
                  i.)In source number 2 it clearly states "The foul river carries not just sewage but also chemicals, its littered with refuse."
                 ii.)This quote shows how the water that the people in the slums are forced to drink is very hazardous and deadly that makes many people who live in these slums die.
D.)They also have no privacy in their homes.


 II. Defendable point #2   
          
A.)People who live in these slums are also forced to live in tiny packed shacks. B.)Many of these houses are even made out of mud.
                                  i.)In source 1 it explains "Rapid growth in these urban areas."
                                 ii.)This quote explains that these shacks are very packed with many different families because more and more people migrate to the cities where these slums are located.
D.)Even with all these people living in said slums there are still no bathrooms.

               
   IV.)Defendable point #3
             
A.)The people who live in these slums do not have access to an actual bathroom. B.)Residents from these slums would have to try to sneak into the owners' bathroom to do their business in a sanitary place. 
                                             i.)In source 2 it states " a muddy swamp is filled of flimsy bags full of human waste."
                                            ii.)This quote states that people who live in these slums have to do their waste in plastic bags because they do not have access to a bathroom.
C.)After the owners found out that the people from the slum would sneak into their restrooms they had to lock them.
D.)In the slums many bags filled with human waste would be found scattered all over the place raising even more safety and unsanitary hazards.


 V. Conclusion

A.)Slums are very bad places to live in and have a very bad effect on the human populations.
B.)Slums have a negative effect on human populations because many people die due to sanitation hazards, they are forced to live in tiny shacks and they do not have access to a restroom.
C.)Without restrooms the sanitation hazards of the slums and raising the deaths in the slums.
D.)Slums are very unsanitary places to live in many people die there having a negative effect on people. Somewhere in the world these horrible things are happening, act now to help the people from these horrible slums.
